Thanks Kevin. I realize that detailed answers are a bit too much to ask.

As far as the "Fox way of doing things", I couldn't agree with you more. I broke away from most of that a few years ago with an App Server nTier framework I developed. However, it's still VFP (with SQL Server) and my next mission, if I decide to accept, is to .Net it.

One question I have is: since you are now comfortable with .Net, would development cycles be comparable between the two for the same application?

>As far as .NET goes, I'm working on app #7...I've converted financial applications from VFP to .NET/SQL/Crystal, and have also built some from the ground up. I've also written a free .NET framework.

>It took me a while to get as comfortable with .NET as I was with VFP. Part of it was the learning curve itself, part of it was because I initially fell into the category that JVP described...excessively tied to the Fox way of doing things. I'm in my 4th year of .NET. I'm doing work for multiple .NET clients right now, including a large bank.
