When I got my "we have good news and bad news.......you can keep your job but you have to move to CA" it was places like Point Reyes that made it bearable to move here. I'm even getting used to the wild turkeys that roam our backyard.

I'm spending twice as much in rent for half the house I owned in Texas, the raise they gave me didn't equate to the state income tax -- but at least I'm not in Texas anymore. And places like Point Reyes, Muir Woods, Yosemite, etc. have meant a lot to us (although I get car-sick driving there). All in all, it really is nice to live here...........if only I could afford it.
