Marcia,
Did you happen to see my other post to Terry? (Message#
1058707) Are you saying that this is normal behaviour for a combobox ... simply taking advantage of the When() event causes different behaviour?
In the case of Message#
1058707, I have no code in the combobox ... nothing to add items to the cursor, etc. (I realize I'll need that in the long run but I'm trying to get down to basics here). The only difference between the first run and the second is adding a Return .T. in the where() clause of the combobox.

Any ideas as to what is going on and how to fix this? I need the when clause but I need the text to stay there as well.>
>The reason for this is that the When() of the combo box fires whenever you select a value in the list. It does not fire only before the combo gets focus.
