That's good to know! Are you certain you are receiving digital signals? (Silly question, I know, but we only have one station here that broadcasts digital signals so far which I believe was also the first in the country to do so - WRALTV in Raleigh, NC. It broadcasts on channel 32 at 100 kilowatts).

>>It may be available without a subscription but it still will require an antenna capable of receiving DTV signals over the air and a new DTV receiver that can decode the digital signals. Not so cheap as it used to be when all you needed was the antenna and the tv. I will never forget my dad on our roof moving the antenna around for a clearer reception when we got our first color tv in the 60s... It was a quazar! :o)

>Ther's nothing special about the antenna for the digital signal. The only difference is the 75 Ohm connector vs. the 300 Ohm connector. It's not a set of rabbit ears, and it is fairly distance limited (35-50 miles max). With digital, you either get a great picture or nothing at all, no "snowy" pictures. For cost, it's really just a regular aerial type antenna ($40-200), so no difference there. I tried a set of "rabbit ears" at $20, but at 30 miles, I couldn't get a picture reliably (they're good up to 20 miles).
