>I am testing Vault. For reasons that I cannot explain, sometimes file pairs (myform.scx, myform.scx; myclasslib.vcx,myclasslib.vct) after checkin have different version numbers. I am very careful to check out both files of the pair at the same time; both are checked in at the same time.

If all you change is some method code, then only the .SCT/.VCT changes. I don't think any change occurs in the .SCX/.VCX in that case.
