You'd better go through your scx files, open each and scan for !empty(valid) and validtype=1 (likewise for when etc), and insert the #name directive in each memo containing a snippet. If this works, the snippet names would be welded and the source control would at least show there's no difference between the new and previous version.

Thanks a lot for your positive response to the idea. I guess you are right I can have a small prg to use and replace the snippets.
