I had as much fun diving as anything I’ve ever done, but it has been years since I’ve done it. (I’m an old man) I lived in Israel and did at least 80 dives in the Gulf of Eilat (Akaba) and at Sharm el Sheikh in the early 80’s. This was before Israel turned the Sinai over to Egypt. Diving is awesome. I know you will love it.

>>I must have missed that conversation somewhere along the line ... Gary told me at lunch that he already knew that you were getting or had gotten a case for your camera. I'm always the last to know about these things. <g>

>>Looks like it'll do the trick, as long as you don't plan on going below 120 feet. I know nothing about diving, but that sounds like it's pretty deep.

>Typical open water certification allows going down 60 feet, and I received advanced certification last weekend which gets you to 100 feet. Recreational dive depth limit is typically 130 feet, only for commercial and professional divers go beyond that, although some people do push their limits beyond that. I don't have any plans to go beyond 30 meters, plenty to see within that depths and you can stay underwater longer, etc. Lots of info on the PADI web site at http://padi.com/english/common/courses/faq.asp.
