Do you also need a broadband router? I would jump to a wireless such as the Linksys WRT54GS. It can be purchased for as low as 59.99 at Walmart and average price of around 79.99. It comes with 4 10/100 LAN ports and a 10/100 WAN port. It can share a single internet connection with wired, wireless G and wireless B devices. All ports are auto MDI/MDI-X (though Linksys doesn't mention this) which means they'll auto figure out how to connect to whatever you plug in, including switches if you decide to expand the number of ports.
]>Need to replace a dying Linksys 4 port WIRED router. And i need at least one more port. Was looking at reviews for the Linksys 8 port BEFRS81 on amazon and cnet and a lot of the reviews are not flattering.. although a lot of the reviews are old. Anyone have this router?
