Hi,

I tried something new. From within Access, I opened the database exclusively. I selected Tools --> Security --> User and Groups Permissions from the menu bar. I noticed that the current user was set to ADMIN without any of the check boxes marked. I then switched tabs to make ADMIN the current owner of the file. Went back and checked all the boxes for permissions. Closed Access. Ran my original program and...voila...my cursor was created with all the records from the table. WHAT A PAIN!!!

But I got the data. Unfortunately, how do I make this automatic, since the eventual end user will have no clue whatsoever as to how to do this, even with documentation.

I will keep hacking away at it.

Thanks a million.
Vince
