If I didn't believe it I wouldn't have said it. That's no "insurgency" in Iraq; it's pure terror, mostly by Baath hard-liners and foreign jihadists trying to prevent democracy from taking hold.
Here's a challenge for you: go research how many terrorist acts have happened in the last ten years. Excluding the destruction of the WTC, the London, and the Madrid bombings. If you hadn't noticed, the radical Islamists declared war on the West some time ago.
