As far as the xbase stuff I'd have to check. I've never used it. With Postgres I used the DB to deal with the multi-user issues. It is builtin.Is it a Windows VFP program that uses VFP SQLCONNECTs and SQLEXEs through the desktops ODBC to transact with Postgres. I was able to do that with MySQL. The version I was using required a C program to contain stored procedures. It wasn't pretty - but the SQLEXECs with MySQL syntax worked as predicted. ADO did not - hmmmm!
I think this thread is also talking about VFP on a Linux Desktop. There were rumors of a few smarty pants (before the ban) that [even] had modest success pushing VFP GUI to dumb terminals (could have been a fish story). All the processing memory would need to be on the server. Maybe newer dumb terminals have local processors.
