And even though FPA and Foxtalk don't have as many pages as they used to, I believe a subscription gives you access to their article archives. So a modest investment gives one access to a ton of information.

True, Kev - and I regularly use most of those resources myself - but I would not bestow them on a beginner (except for some of Whil's offerings - which do indeed offer something for any level of VFPer).

More importantly. most of the early FoxTalk articles are NOT available on their website (sob). I'm thankful for my collection of the mag since its inception - I often take advantage of a tidbit from years ago.

In fact, that's what inspired my whining. I did a search for the article I kinda remembered on the Foxtalk site, found the article date with the notice 'this article is not available on the site' (I am a current subscriber) and would have been able to go no further without my stack of paper copies from the before-time.

I suspect that was the reason for the call for 'mentors' recently. I wonder how that effort is going...?

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
I think so Brain, but "Snowball for Windows"?
