Dan,

With all due respect, I've got to disagree with a number of things you've stated on this thread. I'm not going to attribute every thing to you. Some of what I'm about to say comes from my own impressions of things that have been said here.

First, George W. Bush has zero credibility with me. He was the one who told us that Iraq had, "...weapons of mass destruction...". He was the one who told Saddam, "...either give up the weapons of mass destruction or leave the country...". Well, there were no weapons to give up, so why should he leave.

He also told us that Iraq had the capability to launch an attack against the US within 20 minutes.

He's also said that the terrorists "...hate us because of our freedoms...". A well know conversative disagrees with him. He says that the terrorists hate us because of our policies towards the Middle East. That person is Pat Buchannan and I agree with him.

Next, we have an administration that authorized the research of the possibility of circumventing the Geneva convention on torture, and a vice-president who is publicly push Congress to approve such behavior by the CIA.

Now we have the situation where that CIA may have some secret prisons around the world where they are torturing people.

The thing that really bothers me here is this: All sorts of Republicans are coming out saying that we need to to find and close the source of the leak. Trent Lott (R-MS) has said that the information may have come from a briefing between the Vice-President and members of the Senate.

Why does it bother me? Simple, there's more attention being paid to finding out where the leak came from rather than if it's true or not.

I don't buy the "few bad apples" business. This has been far too consistent to shove it off so simply.
George
