FWIW I spent today at the rollout event at McCormick Place for VS 2005, SQL Server 2005, and BizTalk 2006, and was impressed. Let me count the ways -- better integration of testing tools into VS, better integration of version control into VS, the improvements in SQL Server, some of the team tools, and, especially, the part that has me itching to go: ASP.NET 2.0. Even discounting the demo effect, where precooked components are plugged into an app that is supposedly being built before our eyes, it was way cool. Everyone here please email my boss that Mike needs to work on an ASP.NET project ASAP ;-)
