>>Huh, if its personal, then it should be personal and not something he includes in official statements. And yes, religion is strong in your country. The religion tries to stop sexual education (resulting in more teen-age pregnancies and (illegal) abortion). The promotion of 'intelligent design' rather dan darwins theory. The whole fuss about gay marriage. This a result of god having more power in the white house than any other administration I know off.

>These are your conclusions. I don't believe you can show empirically that religion begets teen pregnancies and abortions.

Oh, I think I can. There have been countless studies on this matter. The problem is that many religous groups want to ban sexual education on school, by hypocritically thinking there won't be sex before marriage. Wrong, wrong and above all very stupid. Teenagers will have sex no matter what you do trying to prevent it. So you better educate them so that they have safe-sex. And what do you think will happen is a teen-age girl will get pregnant ?? Illegal abortion ?? Many teenagers up here will get condoms from their parents, just making sure that no accidents will occur.

From the studies, it has been shown that the number of teen-age pregnancies is several times higher than in other countries where sexual education is practised. This is not an assumption, but a fact. The same is true for the number of abortions. This is a result of the very prudish/hypocritical US practise when it comes to sex.

>Intelligent design simply another possible explanation to a question that hasn't been answered. Evolution certainly cannot be proven, can it?(missing link, etc.)

No intelligent design is just an attempt from the religious corner to discredit darwins theory. It does not provide any additional answers for any problems in the theory. From a scientifical pov intelligent design does not have any basis to be presented as a more likely explanation that darwins theory.

>I think God has been much more prevalent in other administrations like George Washington's and Abe Lincolns. I will admit He is needed more today than ever though.

Those were a long time ago, and I truly don't know and don't even want to spend time checking. Anyways I'd like you to remember that the united states were created specifically as a secular entity and that in the government itself there is no place for religion (e.g. 1st admendant) as a basis to make policy.
