Russel,
I use GS to generate pdf's from VFP and it works like a charm.
You need to the following:
- install the Generic Postscript printer from Adobe (this creates the best postscript files
- write the report to a postscript file using the GenPSprinter
- start GS to convert the postscript file to a pdf (ps2pdf)
We use it with VFP in a COM+ environment without any problems. I can show you some examples if you want.
Regards,
Ron
I have tried Adobe PDFwriter, Distiller and several other tools but I use this combination now for its speed and stability.
>My clients haven't been clamoring for PDF versions of reports (they sometimes own Acrobat, anyway), but it would be nice to easily do this without too much hassle. I was testing XFRX and Mind's Eye this evening and, unfortunately, neither one of them was working.
