John,

>>Whether it was intelligently designed, I can't say. But if it was, I don't think its creator would care a bit for the tiny little spot in the universe called earth. It probably could not even see it.

>The problem with your assertion is you are limiting God to man's capabilities. Any God who could create all this, could certainly administer it. Try to think of something unthinkable, that you cannot understand and that is unimagineable. Once you achieve that, you will understand the nature of God. Please share your findings with the rest of us. <g>

Well here lies the problem. I'm a very scientifical man. Religion has been invented by man (Have you seen monkeys doing prayers?) for very good purposes. It unites people and it is a powerfull tool to get people noses point in the same direction. Aside from the fact that there are a number of religions which differ significantly, the existance of a single god is highly doubtfull, moreover we don't have any real proof of it.

Even with the 'theory' of intelligent design, there are lots of question to ask. Did he only create our universe and kept us alone there after. Is he the god of the whole universe. Are there multiple gods? Is this god located in a total other dimension where he is just one like us. Can he die, without the universe dying at the same time? All questions not you nor I can answer. You believe in one God, because you were told so since probably because you were very young. You trust your parents, grandparents and anchesters because they have build a society on it. But that initself does not make it true. There are a lot of other religions who would disagree. What makes you more right than others?

I take an absolute unbiased position in this matter. I believe in science, because that can be proven. I don't believe in a god, until it has been proven there is one. OTOH, I'm not saying that I know for sure there is not one God. However I see no scientifical clues nor prove, to either confirm or dismiss the existance of a god.

Walter,
