Well, I did still have the printer environment saved with the report (by mistake - normally I don't do that), however unchecking that did not help. It's taking 22 seconds. That's not faster, it's just that before I noticed the first pass took 11 seconds and the second pass took about 22, but obviously I wasn't paying close enough attention. This time I noticed that the second pass picks up counting where the first one left off, so the total is actually 22 seconds. With VFP 8 report behavior it's about 1 second.
