You were fortunate. I took basic training at Fort Dix, NJ in the middle of winter. Later I had PLDC training at Fort Polk, LA in July. I never had any luck! :o)

Ranier to look at when we came off the range, and we were the last training cycle to use the barracks. The DI's were not as strict on stripping, waxing, buffing the floors as any place else I heard about.
