Hmm... When I worked for the government (federal), I had to wear a suit and tie everyday. And I *NEVER* had contact with the public. We didn't even have casual Fridays until right before I left. Even then, in order to dress down, you had to buy a specially made shirt (with court logos). And those shirts were quite overpriced. Go figure...
