George,

I tried the _MFI_PGSET and it worked great. Of course I needed it for a MODI LABEL and not a text file. I don't know why VFP had this one hidden.

Now I can get back to trying to get the Report Control toobar active during a MODI LABEL. If I use the View menu / KEYBOARD technique, then the user is exposed to the Data Enviornment and Tabel Designer which I don't want. If I use the Resource File / Read Only technique then the Report Control toolbar will also popup right in the middle of a PRINT PREVIEW of all things.

You wouldn't happen to be a 6.0 beta tester by any chance and know if this toolbar problem has been addressed yet?

It drives me crasy to have to spend all day to figure out work arounds for "features" that just don't make any sense.

Thanks again.

Ed

>Ed, the problem I found was that if a report wasn't opened, but you had a text file open, when this option is selected nothing happens. This type of behavior isn't acceptable. In other words the report designer has to be WONTOP() (if you get my meaning). I'm considering a workaround for this involving what I mentioned previously.
