>>Strange, but when I look around me all I see are minorities. Women are constitered a minority, African-americans are considered a minority, asian, native americans (indians), gays, hispanics, he11, even the obese are considered a minority (my best friend is one). The only group of people that are not considered a minority in this country are the white-middleage-hedrosexual-male. In comparsion, the rest combined, we are the minority. So, who is protecting us? And what are we suppose to be protecting them from? Us? IMO

>For the most part, the white-middleage-heterosexual-males still run things and make the rules. When an aboriginal man/woman comes for an interview and is subconsciously dismissed as a job candidate by that white-middleage-heterosexual-male mentality, this is a problem. And this is why there must be laws to protect them from that sort of mentality.

Lets see, if they anouse that the WMHM is also an minority, then who be the majority? Then we all would be the minority, which makes us all the majority. We then have to start all over again deciding who would be the minority, and who would be the majority. This is making my head hurt. I think I will just go make to viewing and treating everybody as equals, and leave the selecting of whos what to others.

>I don't believe in the quota system that says, for example, "13% of the area population is black, therefor 13% of your company/police department etc. must be black". I see that at artificial nonsense, but if only one tenth of one percent of your company/police department are black, then I think it at least bears looking into, and probably indicates the need for a cultural change at the top.

I agree.

Oh, wait.

"Police department"?... "Bears"?...

"I reserve the my right to own and arm bears." Or something like that. Go Yogi. :-)
