As far as UI items go, I am probably going to be more inclined to use VB or DHTML - where object based menus is not an issue. As far as reports go, I think Crystal is on the right track. I just don't see MS pouring lots of $'s into the VFP menu and report designers. I think it is fairly evident that that VFP's place in VS is as a middle tier item.

I'm starting to back away from agreement with you, John, on that Fox is middleware position. The inadequacies regarding MTS and surfacing events make that difficult. Reading MS literature, I don't think it's that evident at all although I think a trend might have been developing that way before.
