>One theory I heard today is that Iran (well, their leader) is trying to provoke Israel into doing just that.
>
>I must admit that I am of two minds on this possibility... I'm not sure we've heard that Iran is anywhere near capable of buiding nukes yet, but if they ever do get close I hope Israel will.

Israel claims that Iran is capable within 4 years.

>What I hope to see is that Iran is permitted - under very strong/thorough international observation - to build their nuclear power generators. Possibly even be forced to send their "spent fuel" somewhere, like Russia or whoever.

>I don't honestly think that "the world" would react very well if Israel did do something, no matter when. But that has never stopped Israel before.

>>And Israel is preparing an attack on Iranian nuclear installations. Will presumably happen in March. They have my sympathy, but how will 'the world' react?

Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
