All,

At one customer using Oracle, our parameterized query against an Oracle View is halting with an error. The error message is "1526 Connectivity error: Unable to retrieve specific error information. Driver is probably out of resources". I've googled it and while this message has been seen before with Oracle, there is little advice. The 3rd and 5th error parameter are supposed to return extra clues for a 1526 error, but they contain no value.

The query returns at most a few hundred records so it is hard to imagine a resource problem with both server and client PC very well spec'ed. We're therefore assuming this is a catch all message for uncommon errors. We've told the customer to turn on ODBC Trace to see whether there are more detailed clues to be had.

Any other advice? Has anybody seen and solved this?

Thanks!
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
