What about the time of retrieving the datasets? I thought the process would be evaluated as well as the manipulation of data on the client (I like your checcklist you posted in another message) which would include data retrieval (granted we are looking at sets from a sql backend, right?)

>How about this... We agree on a schema and use whatever database or technology is suitable to the environment. i.e. the schema should work in Fox and SQL Server for instance. We are not comparing speed of database engines anyway just how we manipulate data in each environment once it has made it to the client.
