(Yuck) I break all the rules when I eat mine like cream of wheat with milk and sugar! :o) Here French fries are eaten with creamy italian salad dressing (I eat mine with mayo - once again I'm wrong) or ketchup. Of course those Carolinians are probably just strange. :0)

Hey, watch it. :-) I've lived in SC all my life. Yes, I like my grits with butter, salt, and pepper, and it ain't yuck. :-) My wife and kids like cheese in their grits, and a fair amount of people in these parts like 'em that way, too. I've never seen anyone eat fries with creamy italian. It's mostly ketchup and occasionally malt vinegar. In fact, I actually like creamy italian on a salad, but it's hard to find around here. Most restaurants don't offer it any more.
