Several years ago, I paid off my house. I thought I finally owned it. Then came the property tax bills. The truth is, you can only really own what you can hide. The government owns everything else. We are just renting. Don't pay your rent and the "jack booted thugs" will show up to throw you out.
Of course, there's always that lingering notion that most people take nothing with them in THE BOX!
