Yes, It is my understanding that the water temperature for making coffee is important. The Bunn My Cafe coffee maker heat the water to 200 F. When adding the half and half, it cools the coffee a little, so I heat it again to a low simmer. To much heat can also scorch the Half and Half, so I watch the pan closely while heating the coffee. I like my coffee really hot at first, and then enjoy it by sipping a little until the temperature cools, as I enjoy my cup of coffee over the period of the morning.
