This may be off topic also - but I have had success with XML Messaging with ASP and foxISAPI servers (GET and SEND). It seemed one benefit was that the number of server requests could be reduced because of the extra capacity and functionality of an XML plus it does not flash in the address bar or status bar. OF course the browser will have to instanciate an activex.

I am getting ready to insert HTML streams (stashed in a notes field as an XML) into a SPAN. I remember working with HTML streams (like CGI) vs HTM pages a while back. There were some issues. The images would download as an HTM but not as CGI (html stream)- most likely a victim of my ignorance. I am just working with a few images for this. The tendative approach is to assign as CSS classes to overcome the CGI issue.

Is there a way to assure the images download with the html stream you are using in your approach?
