>I am thinking about upgrading my VFP 6.0 to 9.0. Will I have problems with my current applications?
In general, all versions of VFP have been known to have great compatibility - unlike VB, for instance.
The main problems seem to be:
Changes in the behavior of SELECT - SQL; especially, VFP is stricter with regards to GROUP BY. As a temporary solution, change SET ENGINEBEHAVIOR, for backwards compatibility.
The new report designer causes some incompatibilities, especially, font sizes are reported to vary slightly. See SET REPORTBEHAVIOR for backwards compatibility.
Apart from that, there shouldn't be too many problems; but I would do some thorough testing, just in case.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
