I really don't feel much like arguing either - but I disagreed with your point. Any time someone posts an opinion, they should assume they'll get some type of response.

Example code that shows how to work with local data in ADO.NET has value. I always thought the "challenge" was silly and myopic - the greater value was seeing how some things are done in .NET.
