>You forgot the Conquistadors vs the Aztecs!>
>Right. That's why I said "and many more..."
>
>It was vs. *all* native peoples. An example from the clash with the Incas:
>
>The pious, God-fearing, religious, nice people that went to the Americas saw the poor nice natives that had not seen the light and asked Tupac-Amarú (their leader) to kiss their cross (and tell them where the gold was). When he refused they did what every good Christian should do to the ones that don't agree with the True Faith (tm). They tied his arms and legs to four horses and pulled. I leave the question of where was God at that moment and why did He permit that atrocity (and all others) as an exercise for the reader.
Breaks my heart to know how those cultures were treated/exterminated and what wonders the world was deprived of when the Inca/Aztec (etc.) cities were razed.
I think in the case of the above evil vermin, their word for "GOD" had an extra "L" in it.
But that's not unique in christianity. Just listen to the words of the nursery rhyme "Goosey-goosey Gander" as a lesson in christian morality:
" ...There I met an old man who wouldn't say his prayers.
So I took him by the left leg and threw him down the stairs"
That'll remind him in future!
