Tracy,

I think my problem may be a focus problem. It is real eratic.

A little more explanation:

A form is called it have controls that belong to a header file. It has a grid control that shows detail records. When the form is called a header text box has focus. I then click in an edit box of the grid. type in a letter. At this point the cursor jumps to the first character of the string, it's like the grid setfocus has just been fired. The erratic part is it doesn't happen every time. But if phyisically set focus to the grid before clicking the edit box it works like it is supposed to. The trouble is where could I set the focus to the grid without an extra user interaction?
