I'm sorry if the truth hurts you. Claude was in deed bullied with, and only a politician would be able to take all the BS he had thrown at him, without reacting. However, since Claude is no politician, he overreacted. If you don't see it like I do, I wonder what color your glasses are.

Tore,

I'm wondering about you. Here's a recap:

1) Claude came up to the UT and asked for $$$ donations. Many people in this community make contributions for free.

2) John Baird made a rather stinging but accurate characterization of Claude as pan-handling. Most people I've spoken with thought John's comment was hysterical, given the specifics (Claude was asking for donations, and yet often complained about the lack of documented info on Interop).

3) Claude overreacted, made a rather silly joke about my friendship with JB, and made an even sillier threat to JB.

4) JB and Claude continued to bicker, and Martin Salias asked them to stop. JB stopped but Claude didn't.

5) Claude was banned right after that - I can only assume it was for his messages that were marked as sensitive.

6) A few days later, I sent a private message to Michel that (until now) no one was aware of. I told Michel that I did not agree with the ban, and asked Michel to consider a suspension instead.

The only ban I've ever agreed with was William Sanders. I didn't like Claude, I felt he whined all the time about different topics....but I didn't agree with the ban.

7) A few days after that, Claude (or someone working with Claude) came up to the UT using a different name, and posted messages like "Who is this Claude Fox? ActiveVFP has been downloaded many times - surely there must be a spot for this niche player". (or words along those lines). It was discovered to be Claude, and the messages were "merged" into his old account. Right after that, I emailed Michel and told him that I was withdrawing my request.

8) And now it appears Claude has done it again.

The facts speak for themselves, and I think most people see Claude for what he is. I regret that I felt sorry for him. I say goodbye and good riddance to Claude.

Claude wasn't bullied into anything. As for this "only a politician would be able to take all the BS he had thrown at him"...give me a break. What Claude received was a pin-prick compared to some of the crap I've received for backing certain individuals - and you don't see me doing things to get me banned. And I sure as hell am not a politician.

If you or others want to express regret that Claude isn't on the UT anymore - that's fine. But Claude has no one to blame but himself.

Kevin
