Ah, good times! Some of them I even remember. I did a lot of concert work in college, basically being a warm body for setup & teardown. One of my most memorable was when Devo played at Cullen Hall at UofH (where I went). Some jerk got mad because he couldn't get to his seat - people were crowded in the aisles dancing. Trying to play big-shot in front of his girlfriend, he called the fire marshalls. The FM and Houston Police showed up, took one look at the situation and stopped the show until the aisles were cleared. One of the band said something to the effect that "everyone needs to sit down so the piggy-wiggies will let the show continue." As you can imagine that went over real well with HPD. They promply hustled the band offstage.

Two or three of us rushed back there to see if there was something we could do. Rounding a corner, we saw the band members up against the wall, and a cop promptly told us to "get the f--- out of here!" Eventually they let the band play one more song, then hauled two of them off to jail.

The jerk ended up getting arrested for public drunkeness.

Then there was the time I fell asleep on top of a speaker during a .38 Special show, but that's another story...
