>I need to COMPLETELY control the color for an edit box contained within a column of a grid contained within a page on a form. I need the color to be the same at ALL times - even when the column is selected. I have set all of the color properties I can find for the control to be the same so that whether the control is enabled or disabled it will have the same color which is what I need for this particular app. However, the problem is that when the edit box within the grid receives focus, it's backcolor changes to the backcolor of the form. Is there any way to completely control the color of an edit box within a grid, no matter what happens to it (i.e. it remains the same color whether it is selected, unselected, enabled, disabled, etc.)?
Good Luck, this is one of my biggest beefs with VFP and I hope someone has a better answer. There is an example in Drew Speedies downloadable sample here in UT. I suggest looking at that. I also suggest looking at the properties for Objects. There are a number of color control properties you can control. Combining the properties with what you learn from Drew's examples, hopefully you can find a solution. This is a tough one for me so good luck! (s)
