The US called for the destruction of the Communist REGIMES of Cuba (I don't see Viet Nam and USSR as analagous), not the total obliteration of the country.

My opinion is that Iran wants either the conversion of every Israeli to Islam or the forced expulsion of every non-Muslim from Israel, or the death of every non-Muslim in Israel.

Perhaps being Jewish colors my view of Iran (of course it does), but if I'm wrong, what are the Iranian attitudes towards Israel?
