It doesn't look like an easy thing to know what driver version is being used...

Under the printer's properties it just shows the name; no date, version, etc.

I am just trying to eliminate possibilities. But I do believe this is a good possibilty. I would get the most recent driver and install them on both machines...you can Add a printer with the new drivers and print to that printer instead of changing drivers on the existing printer definition (so you don't lose your old drivers that might work better than the newer drivers).
