hi cathy. thanks for reply. yes printer environment is saved in the reports. i never had 'printer environment' on in the reports designer. but i guess 'save printer environment' was on in file\options. so it is storing printer environment. i tried to open my frx as a dbf and i see tag and tag2 memo fields filled with printer information i.e. use c:\temp\report1.frx.

i turned off 'save environemnt' in options and then created a new report. now tag and tag2 fields r empty. but i still see the same problem. i mean it does not remember the paper type and source field settings in printer setup that i do with sys(1037). when i print my reports, it brings up same default paper type and source field settings thats available in control panel\printer setup for that particular printer.

interesting thing is it does remember which printer to print from sys(1037) just not these other details. i.e. source field etc.

any ideas? would appreciate lot. thanks in advance again.
