Glenn,

I was able to get SETUP.EXE to run. I have to disable everything in the STARTUP folder. Apparently, as I suspected, at least one of the entries was changing some Windows settings, causing SETUP to think I had to restart for those changes to take effect. Anyway, at least I was able to get it going!

Thanks for your help.

>>Yes, I realize that some of the problems may not go away, and thanks for the tip about using the SYSTEM.1ST file. The trouble I am having though is that I cannot run SETUP.EXE _at all_. It won't take me as far as the option menu, but bombs before it even shows the splash screen. It says that something in my system has changed and wants me to restart, regardless if I had just restarted.
