Hi Terry,

>Aye well I thought that you MAY have another cursor selected.

Always worth pointing it out - it wouldn't have been the first time that the wrong area was selected ;-)

>
>What concerns me is that you say you're zapping a view, not a table/cursor.

To my way of thinking I treat views the same as cursors, apart from the fact that they may update local or remote tables.

>I assume you mean like a dataset involving more than one table.

It could be more than one table, or a SELECT from a single table.

>Could the problem be that although you CURSORSETPROP the view, it doesn't necessarily follow that all the tables thereof obey the buffering?

I think the buffering applies to the cursor, not the underlying tables, and it is the updatable field list which determines which tables are updated.

Regards,
Alan
