I tried replacing the BROWSE with a new Form with a Grid (as you suggested), and experienced the same problem. The new form came up fine, but when I selected a record in the grid and closed the new form, my original form would again become inactive. I tried commenting out the BROWSE command to see if something else was affecting my original form. When I did this and clicked on my "Browse" button, it came back to the original form fine, with the form still active. This tells me that the BROWSE (in the Clicked event behind my "Browse" button) is doing something bad, possibly messing up the event handler in effect (from the READ EVENTS); not completely messed up, since I can close the original form & resume normal operation.

Any other ideas or suggestions?. Thanks for your reply.
