Honestly, neither party is doing that good a job IMHO. On a national level, they appear to be about the same once they get in office. The difference for me is the Rs lean towards strong defense, lower taxes, less government and the Ds lean the opposite direction. Notice I said lean, that doesn't mean the REALLY believe in those things, nor does it imply they pass legislation that works toward their "supposed" objectives.
Locally, we have more control over Rs and Ds and here in Memphis we are working hard to keep the Rs in some semblance of control.
