Yes, absolutely positive. I know what was accomplished... Iraqis now have a shot at freedom. That is a fact. Personally, I believe that they would never have such a chance under the previous regime. All the rest you mention -- ex-military taking sides, how bad the destruction is vs. how bad they had it under Saddam, political posturing in both parties, etc. -- is subjective... opinion... nothing more.

BTW, to give another (frequently unheard) side, I live a couple doors down from a Marine who served in Iraq. FWIW, he tells me of how even when he was leaving -- which wasn't all that long ago -- the natives were still thanking the GIs for removing Saddam. See? Multiple sides to every story. Choose to believe what opinions you will... I reject most and just stick with facts. Saddam's absence = world better off, especially in the long(er) run.

>You're positive? All the ex-military coming out against Rumsfeld because his micromanaging has caused untold deaths. As well as lengthened how long it will take for Iraq to become safe, possibly by decades.

>You mentioned Iraqi children. I heard someone who was in Iraq for the attack on Falujah discuss the devastation that occurred in that city. Actually ex-city as it has basically been completly destroyed. I'm sure there's lots of children there who's life we greatly improved.

>What exactly do you think we've accomplished there? Inquiring minds want to know.
