Many Bahá'ís have, indeed, moved to other countries. I think it must have been a short time before the Islamic Revolution, when the Universal House of Justice (our central authority) requested them to do so.
Those who stayed in Iran... well, they are having a hard time. After the Islamic Revolution about 200 Bahá'ís were executed under different pretexts, many Bahá'ís lost their jobs, were barred from higher education (universities), and many other problems.
