>In America, there is no 'letting your son/daughter marry a Black' because when you are an adult, you can do as you wish. That includes choosing your own beliefs and marrying whoever you wish. Of course, if your family really is racist, they may not accept you as a family member afterwards. Really, we hear of those cases in other countries - especially in Muslim countries, not here. It does seem that whenever a case of racism exists (anywhere in the world) the media gets a hold of it (in all countries) and it is broadcast worldwide and everyone thinks 'that would NEVER happen here.' I have not met anyone that racist in at least 20 years in any country other than Germany. Mixed marriages are very common in the South. My best friend's daughter is bi-racial (legally she is considered black), my daughter's best friend is black, the professional I work with and most admire is a black woman. Most people probably really don't even think about it anymore unless something in the media
>brings your attention to it. Our last mayor was black. At least half of my daughter's teachers are black. How come no one ever asks me how many of my friends, coworkers, superiors, teachers, etc are white? The majority of our citizens in this area are black, not white. Interesting perspective...

When my mother (a Jew) married my father (a Russian non-Jew), it took a while before her parents were willing to acknowledge them again. Eventually, they came around and accepted my dad as a member of the family, but for a year or so, it was apparently tense. I should point out that I wasn't there to see it first hand, of course. ;)

>>If you said that for defend your country it's understable. But in the other situation you might feel hidden racist emotions.

>>I talked in there about a lot of hidden racism. What is the hidden racism?

>>People usually don't accept about their racism. They claims they don't feel racist feelings. But if you ask them indirect questions, they show their hidden racism. Only one questions I could remembered from that article:
