Chips over here can be bits of wood or the droppings of Buffalo (correctly termed Bison) or cattle.
Well, I enjoy Fish and Chips at the local pubs I must say. Two friends from England created a Fish and Chip establishment in Berkeley. Good stuff especially with a pint of Guinness!
