It' a nuissance, I know. You can always press ctrl+F2 to activate the command window, and then if the cursor is somewhere where you don't see it, just press ESC.

It may be some side effect from docking or whatever - I can live with that. I specifically bought a widescreen monitor so I can dock my regular stack of command window, document view, properties and data session windows to the far right. Best I can do, short of investing in two monitors.
