In VFP9 you don't need to do
deactivate window &lcNewOutputWindow ???

Also, I have noticed that with VFP6, there are anomolies with screen displays running with XP, especially 'wait windows'. I can not pin down the causes but the symptons show up when running more than one screen or window, the screen outputs do not always show up in the window the user & developer thinks is in the foreground.
